Position Overview
Position Overview: Utility is responsible for filling various defects in the flooring before it is graded and packed. Scope: Hand Filler Belt. Nesting Stations, Re-Rip Stacking Station Responsibilities: Must be able to use ?Filled Character? grade rule for grade and species to determine if flooring coming to station has character that requires filling. Open and cracked knots, checks, worm holes, etc. Defects too large to be filled should be marked for cutting and placed back on table. Required to fill defects and remove excess putty. Do not leave putty on the bevel. Responsible for maintaining putty knife and container. See Shift Supervisor if new equipment is needed. Responsible for knowing the color of putty to be used for different species. If unsure, check with shift Supervisor or TPC. Visually keeps check on machine belts, bearings, chains, feed roll, etc. for signs of wear or unusual noise. Must be able to understand and apply Wood Eye numbering system. Nester: Build packs neatly and correctly Place bottom board down and flat in the bottom of the empty nesting jig Raise table to top via hand controls insuring associates, material and or tools are not in danger Begin building panels to width specification engaging side and end match to make flat and full layers 20 rows for 2.25? 14 rows for 3.25? 9 rows for 5? Packs will not exceed 32 layers high Lower table as layers are added. Putty defects in lumber as needed. Removes defective material from the process and places into the rework cart. Panel length should be within ?zone? marked on top of nesting jig. Each row should not exceed the specified ?green? area, if row is too long it will not pass inspection. Stacker: Responsible for knowing and learning the difference between 2 ?, 3 ?, and 4 3/8 boards. Must catch and transfer all narrow strips to waste conveyor, and stack like widths together in the correct bins. Responsible for stacking packs insuring that it is square and stable. Must have basic understanding of control panels in assigned area for assisting Re-Rip Operator. Responsible for housekeeping at assigned station. During production down times, performs clean up duties in plant or work area until machinery is back in operation. Must adhere to the corporate attendance policy and our work schedule, i.e. starting and stopping times, and where applicable, rotating days. Responsible for housekeeping at assigned station. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
