Clinical Staff Psychologist

The Asheville VAMC is seeking a full-time Clinical Psychologist for their Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC)located in Franklin, NC.
This position is located under Mental Health Services under the clinical supervision of the Assistant Chief in Mental Health Services and the Lead Primary Care Physician at the Franklin CBOC.
The Psychologist will provide mental health care for Veterans and their families.
The Psychologist works as a member of an interdisciplinary Mental Health team, and may provide consultation or brief services for the collocated Primary Care Service at the Franklin CBOC.
The Psychologist will be responsible for providing Veteran care and for meeting quality, efficiency, satisfaction, and other standards.
The Clinical Psychologist may provide clinical services through in-person sessions at the CBOC, as well as through Tele-Mental Health Services from the Asheville facility on a flexible basis.
The Clinical Psychologist effectively uses the following clinical modalities as delineated in their privileges, which may include but are not limited to:
evidenced-based therapies (e.
g.
, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, etc.
),supportive therapies, couples/family therapy, group therapy, psychological assessment/evaluation and recommendations, and crisis intervention when needed.
Experience and/or training certification in evidence-based treatments for treating combat and non-combat Veterans is preferred.
Work Schedule:
Tour of duty:
Monday through Friday 0800-1630 are usual hours, but extended hours may be needed for crisis intervention or other Veteran needs.
Relocation expenses and/or incentives have not been authorized.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
